Naui Scuba Diver Certification

GSDS Open Water Training Course Consists Of Classroom, Two (2) Days Pool Training,
Certification Dives Over A Two Day Period And Finally Two (2) Ocean Dives.

During Your Certification You Will Be Provided With Your Books And All Study Materials, A
Buoyancy Control Device, Regulator W/Octo, Wetsuit, Compass, Wrist Computer, Weights,
Tanks & Air.

The Entire Course Is $675.00 Which Includes Above Described Plus Two (2) Nights Hotel
(Double Occupancy),Two (2) Days Diving In Florida Springs And Two Ocean Dives, Only Food
And Transportation Is Not Included.
Our Florida Certification Trip Usually Leaves Early Friday Morning And We Return Home Sunday
Evening.

We Also Do Local Certification Trips, Usually At Alabama Blue Water Adventures (Quarry) Over A
Two Day Period. This Certification Trip Includes Everything Listed Above Except The Ocean
Dives.

Scuba diving is an exciting and relatively easy recreation. However, proper training is required.   
open water certification has three components:

Knowledge development
Confined water (pool) skill development training
Open water check out dives

Upon successful completion of all three components, you will receive an internationally
recognized certification card that allows you to dive in open water areas similar to those in
which you trained.
We provide the gear for all of your open water course as part of the fee, we recommend that you
invest in your own mask, fins and snorkel when you start diving in the Open Water Diver course
because these have a personal fit for you. A GSDS Instructor Or Divemaster will help you choose
ones that have the fit and features best suited to you.
NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver Certification

Advanced Open Water Expands On Your Skills And Adds Another Dimension To Your
Underwater Experience.

The Advanced Scuba Diver course is an enjoyable certification course for 12-year-old (or older)
certified divers who desire additional training, have moved from one diving area to another and
desire local orientation, do not have, but wish to obtain, NAUI certification, or who desire
orientation to a variety of diving sites and conditions.

As part of your certification, you will complete a minimum of six open water dives including three
separate dives for navigation, night or low visibility diving and deep diving (130 feet/40 meters
maximum depth), plus three different dives. Some of the many different dives you can do include:

* Search and recovery

* Boat diving

* Light salvage

* Hunting and collecting

* Exploration and underwater mapping

* Wreck diving (non-penetration)

* Observation and data collection

* Diving in surf or currents

* Altitude diving

* Salt water diving (in areas where most diving is in fresh water)

* Fresh water diving (in areas where most diving is in salt water)

* Shore diving

* Diving for photos or video

* Using dive computers

This Course Consists Of Six Dives And Can Be Completed Over A period Of Time.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver Certification
Gain the in-depth knowledge that will establish you as a recognized authority in your diving club
or group. Thrill to the adventure of open water dives in settings that will test your abilities to their
limit while expanding your diving capabilities and experience. Then proudly carry the most
coveted and respected certification card in recreational diving - that of the NAUI Master Scuba
Diver.

The Master Scuba Diver course is a continuing education certification course for divers who
wish to increase their understanding and enjoyment of diving. This course is an excellent
progression toward NAUI Leadership roles.

During your training, you will engage in a minimum of eight open water dives including the
following required dives:

* Emergency procedures and rescue

* Deep/simulated decompression diving

* Limited visibility or night diving

* Underwater navigation

* Search and recovery – light salvage


You can also choose from many different dives for your elective dives such as:

* Skin diving

* Environmental study or survey

* Air consumption (practical application)

* Boat diving

* Shore diving

* Hunting and collecting

* +Or other special interest dives

If you are 15 years old and have a NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver certification or its equivalent, you
may be ready for the Master Scuba Diver class. Ready, set, learn!

NAUI Rescue Diver Certification
Once you are 15 years of age and a certified scuba diver, you can expand your diving knowledge
with a Scuba Rescue Diver course. Learn how to manage risks and effectively handle limited
in-water problems and diving emergencies, how to assist and transport divers, and how to
perform surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shore based skin and
scuba divers.

CPR and First Aid certifications are required to complete this course. Your Scuba Rescue Diver
training moves you on your pathway to becoming a NAUI Leader: Skin Diving Instructor,
Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, or Instructor.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Certification

Want to extend your bottom time, lessen your surface interval, and maximize every dive? Become
an Enriched Air Nitrox diver!

You will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum
depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute
each dive. Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen;
advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of
handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive
Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.

After your exam, you can qualify for the Nitrox recognition card, or go ahead and complete two
dives to receive your Nitrox Diver certification card. And, your NAUI instructor can integrate your
Nitrox course into your Scuba Diver course!

Emergency First Response courses encompass adult, child and infant CPR and first
aid skills, and incorporate Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training and
emergency oxygen use. Emergency First Response also offers comprehensive
First Aid at Work courses, specifically designed to meet compliance standards for
workplace safety courses internationally. Emergency First Response courses are
flexible in design to accommodate scheduling and training needs. They can be
The Emergency First Response courses build lay rescuer confidence to provide
care when faced with a medical emergency. Students learn and practice the same
patient care techniques and principles used by medical professionals, but at a lay
person level.

"LETS GO DIVING"


The NAUI Divemaster rating is the highest NAUI leadership-level certification with the exception
of Instructor. The program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to
organize and conduct enjoyable open water dives for certified divers.

Qualifications of Graduates

* An active-status NAUI Divemaster is qualified to organize and conduct dives for certified divers
if the diving activities and locale approximate those in which the Divemaster is trained.
Additional training, knowledge or experience is necessary for the Divemaster who desires to
organize highly specialized activities, such as wreck penetration, cavern or ice dives or enter a
new locale.

* An active-status NAUI Divemaster is qualified to organize and conduct NAUI Recognition (such
as International Diver) and Experience Programs (such as Stingray Experience) and award
appropriate recognition materials to participants.

* An active-status NAUI Divemaster is qualified to assist an active-status NAUI Instructor in
diving courses.

* If all other prerequisites are met, a current NAUI Divemaster is qualified to enter a NAUI
Instructor Training Course (ITC). [Attending a NAUI Instructor Preparatory Program (PREP) and
NAUI Assistant Instructor certification are recommended prior to attending an ITC.]

Prerequisites for Entering the Course

* General - Meet the requirements applying to all Leadership courses. (See “Policies Applying to
Leadership Courses.”)

* Materials - (See current guide to NAUI membership.)

* Diver Certification - The preferred minimum certification level is NAUI Assistant Instructor.
Individuals not possessing the preferred certification may be accepted for training only if they
meet the following criteria:


*Certification - Certification as NAUI Master Scuba Diver and NAUI Scuba Rescue Diver or their
equivalent. Divers with evidence of equivalent training and experience may be enrolled provided
they pass the NAUI Master Scuba Diver written examination with a minimum score of 75%.

* Experience - Documentation of diving experience with a minimum of 60 logged open water
dives. Dives shall be varied in environment, depth and activities.

* Waterskills - Ability equivalent to that of a NAUI Assistant Instructor. Skills from the Assistant
Instructor standards shall be evaluated if the candidate is not already certified as a NAUI
Assistant Instructor
